Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration of the Jewish New Year. The phrase means “beginning of the year” or “first of the year.” The holiday is also known as “Yom Teruah,” its Biblical name, which translates to “the day of shouting (or blasting).” Rosh Hashanah is a time to reflect, pray, and hear the sound of the shofar horn.
